Grafton County Using the Website |
It is easy and convenient for anyone to use the website created for the Registries of Deeds of several counties, located at www.nhdeeds.com. By simply using the steps that follow, you will quickly be on your way to searching the records for your property. Note that all recorded documents which have been digitized in the Registry of Deeds are available online, including plans. Documents may be called up using a book and page number or a search of the index. Plans are indexed in the town where the property is located under owner/developer. To begin your search, go to the website located at nhdeeds.com and click on the county of your choice. We will use Grafton County as the sample. From www.nhdeeds.com, Click on “Grafton County” and then “Search County Records” located on the left side of the screen. A Registry Disclaimer will then appear on the screen. You must click on “Accept Agreement” at the bottom of the Disclaimer page to continue on. Before continuing, you should know the difference between a “grantor” and a “grantee”. A “grantor” is the individual granting/giving/selling the property, and a “grantee” is the person getting/receiving/buying the property. The indexes are online for searching by two separate methods: Indexes from 1960 to current day. Indexes prior to 1960 can be viewed at the Registry of Deeds using the physical index books. There are two applications used for searching the records. Laredo and Ava. Laredo is a ‘Sign-up Account” and Ava is a public search where you can obtain copies via credit card. There are search instructions listed on the Index Disclaimer page. If you do not have a Laredo account or do not want to use your credit card through Ava and would like copies of any documents you have viewed, you should make note of the book(s) and page number(s). You may call the Grafton County Registry of Deeds at 787-6921 with the request or send your request to the Grafton County Registry at the address indicated above. Copy charges are noted online at the website under the Copy Fees menu item. If you would like to set up an internet account to allow for printing of copies directly from the website, please contact the Registry at (603) 787-6921. |
