PAYMENT TO BE MADE AT THE TIME OF RECORDING.

THREE SEPARATE CHECKS REQUIRED, ALL MADE PAYABLE TO THE SULLIVAN COUNTY REGISTRY OF DEEDS:  1) RECORDING FEES; 2) NEW HAMPSIRE REAL ESTATE TRANSFER TAX;  and 3) LCHIP (WITH A NOTE ON THE MEMO LINE OF YOUR CHECK THAT STATES ‘LCHIP’.)

LCHIP FEE IS REQUIRED, PER DOCUMENT, ON ALL DEEDS, MORTGAGES, MORTGAGE DISCHARGES AND PLANS/SURVEYS.  (EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2008)
 
TOWN LOCATION OF THE PROPERTY AND THE VOLUME AND PAGE IN WHICH THE DOCUMENT(S) IS RECORDED MUST BE ON ALL DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING DISCHARGES, ASSIGNMENTS, ETC.  (TOWN LOCATION IS THE PHYSICAL LOCATION
 OF THE PROPERTY NOT
 THE MAILING ADDRESS OF THE PROPERTY.)

ALL DOCUMENTS MUST FOLLOW THE NATIONAL STANDARDS FOR DOCUMENT FORMATTING WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE NEW HAMPSHIRE REGISTER OF DEEDS ASSOCIATION EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 1, 2001.

RETURN POSTAGE TO BE ADDED TO EACH DOCUMENT BEING RECORDED UNLESS A SELF-ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE IS INCLUDED. (WHICH ISWHAT THIS OFFICE PREFERS.  IT IS DIFFICULT TO DETERMINE WHAT THE RETURN RATE OF POSTAGE WILL BE UNLESS THIS OFFICE HAS THE DOCUMENTS IN HAND TO WEIGH THEM WITH THE RETURN ENVELOPE.  THE BEST ‘RULE OF THUMB’ TO USE WHEN INCLUDING POSTAGE FOR RETURN MAIL IS:    WHATEVER THE COST OF POSTAGE FOR YOU TO SEND IT TO ME WILL BE THE SAME FOR ME TO RETURN IT TO YOU UNLESS YOU WANT THIS OFFICE TO DISPERSE THE DOCUMENTS TO DIFFERENT PLACES, THEN YOU SHOULD PROVIDE A SELF-ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE TO THE RESPECTIVE PLACES FOR RETURN.)

PLANS MUST BE ON REPRODUCIBLE MATERIAL OTHER THAN PAPER AND DRAWN WITH PERMANENT INK.  THEY MUST BE EITHER AN ORIGINAL DRAWING OR WASHOFF MYLAR.
